Washing Soda

Washing Soda (also known as Sodium Carbonate) is natural, safe and effective.  You may have heard of Washing Soda being used in the laundry, however you can also use Washing Soda in many cleaning DIY recipes throughout the house.  It’s an amazing grime buster which can eliminate ingrained dirt and grease from many surfaces and materials.

Washing Powder

A simple recipe, using some low tox staples, this Laundry Powder recipe can be made in bulk, or divided to suit your needs (or the size of your washing powder container!)

Dishwasher Tablets

These dishwasher tablets work just as well, if not better than the store bought ones. You may need to experiment with moulds and sizes required depending on your dishwasher.

Dish Liquid

Castile soap is a staple of low-tox DIY and is amazingly effective at cleaning and cleansing. Add your choice of essential oil to this dish liquid recipe, but citrus is usually best as it cuts through grease.  Lemon is simple and cheap, or try doTERRA's On Guard blend if you want the added reassurance of a protective blend.

Surface Wipes

These DIY Surface wipes are so handy. Use them in the kitchen, bathroom - or wherever you want really! You can choose to make them disposable wipes, or wipes you can wash and reuse. Use a quality paper towel roll or reusable wipes like Chux or facewashers. If using paper towel, be sure to use a sturdy, thick product so it will hold up to sitting in the cleaning solution and scrubbing as you clean. I like to use the Tuffy brand sold at Woolworths.

Keep them stored in an airtight container and use whenever you need them!
