Jewellery Cleaner

This easy jewellery cleaner using essential oils can be made at home and can help bring the shine and sparkle back to your favourite accessories. Keeping your jewellery bright and shiny doesn’t have to be a hassle anymore!

Equipment

  • Small bowl
  • Old toothbrush
  • Cotton pad

Ingredients

Essential oils

  • 10 drops Lime essential oil

Instructions

  • Combine salt, sodium bicarbonate, and essential oil in a small bowl
  • Add jewellery to the bowl
  • Add warm water until your jewellery is covered
    Jewellery Polish - soak in bicarb salt and lime oil
  • Let sit for 5–10 minutes
  • Using a toothbrush or cotton pad, scrub your jewellery until shine forms
    Jewellery Polish - scrub with toothbrush
  • Rinse with warm water and let dry

Notes

As with any new DIY recipe, use your own judgement as to whether this will be suitable for your jewellery.
I've not had an issue yet, but I've not tried it on softer stones such as pearls etc.  I'd suggest checking regularly during the soaking process to ensure you are happy with the results.
